Windows are generated from the timetabled pattern in Advanced settings, then overlaid with live times from National Rail's LDBWS API (Rail Data Marketplace, station codes RAY / MOT) whenever a key is supplied and reachable. The live / timetabled tags show which windows are live-confirmed vs running on the pattern. Crossing pass times are the midpoint of a train's calling times at each station — this is an independent estimate, not official Network Rail crossing data.
